Keeping important digital infrastructure safe

Evolution has kept data centres and colocation facilities safe for more than 20 years, across hyperscale, enterprise, colocation and edge sites in Europe.

mean time to resolution for critical issues

A Tier 4 colocation provider cut set-up from 48 hours to 45 minutes

The operator had several UK sites, five different security systems, provisioning delays of up to 48 hours and monthly SLA breaches. One unified platform replaced them.

  • 18 months of 100% security SLA performance
  • 70% less time to set up
  • Customer NPS up by 40 points
  • 30% more business clients
  • Unified reporting of compliance across all sites
“Evolution turned our security operations from a challenge into a competitive edge.”

Zero-impact implementation

Components that can be swapped while the system is running, work within change freeze windows, phased rollout options, remote configuration and complete testing before cutover.

Compliance on demand

Support for ISO 27001, SOC 1/2/3 reporting, PCI DSS, SSAE 18, EN 50600 and TIA-942 alignment, with audit packages available on demand.

Integration with DCIM

Integration with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure, Vertiv Trellis, Nlyte DCIM and Sunbird dcTrack, on an API-first architecture.

Data centre security FAQs

What is zero-trust security architecture for data centres?

Zero-trust flips the traditional model. Instead of assuming anyone inside the perimeter is trusted, you assume nobody is until proven otherwise, every single time. For data centres, this means micro-segmentation taken to extremes: permissions at the cage level, cabinet level, even rack level for sensitive deployments.

How does colocation security differ from enterprise data centre security?

In a colocation facility, you are managing security for dozens or hundreds of independent tenants who all need their own isolated environments within shared infrastructure. Customer provisioning needs to be automated and fast, because nobody wants to wait days for access to be set up.

Our customer onboarding is taking too long because of security provisioning. How do we speed it up?

The fix is automation. Modern access control platforms can provision customer access through API integration with your sales and billing systems: contract signed, credentials issued, access active, all within minutes rather than days.

We need to upgrade security without any downtime. Is that actually possible?

It is possible, but it requires careful methodology. You cannot take systems offline for installation in an environment promising five nines availability, so that means hot-swappable components wherever possible, approved change windows and fallback plans in place.
